Nicky's and Ian Christmas party were a success. My friend Celest took care of Hanna and Zach so I could go and spend time with Ian at his party. Then later on that day my friend Auebrey took care of Ian and Hanna so I could go and spend time with Nicky. It was great seeing my kids so happy to see me there.

Birthdays!
My family is divided for birthday's moments. Ian and Hanna's birthdays are in March and following their is Glenn at the beggining of April then we have a long pause until August for our latest baby then another pause to celebrate mine and Nicky's birthday at the end of October and beggining of November. Those months are the hardest (except Zach who is the only one that doesn't share a near month with one of us.
Anyway, this year Ian got in trouble and we had to cancel his birthday party HOWEVER he did have a cake, ice cream and cupcakes for his class at pre-k. We also gave him some presents and he was happy with that. Nicky and a friend of him draw him some cards and he LOVED them! Then it came Hanna's birthday. We celebrate her birthday with the family and she knew she was the princess birthday girl and wasn't shy to brag about it. 2 days after her b-day I threw a little birthday lunch with some of her friends. We had 2 games and she had a blast. I loved when we sang Happy birthday she immediately put on her PRINCESS BIRTHDAY GIRL CROWN letting everybody know she was the start of the party. She was so happy with all her gifts and she was very happy to hear happy birthday congrats from strangers (since she was wearing a ribbon that says birthday girl) so funny.
On another note. I have thought on preparing something extra special for my sweetheart and love of my life. I was a little nervous since I am not good at keeping secrets from him. I decided to give it a try. I talked to my friends and told them that I was going to throw a surprise birthday party and I ask if they could help me. They all were so nice and inmediatly said yes! I made brisket that I drop off for my friend Cody to cook it the day before the party. Celeste made cream corn that was delicious!! I made corn bread and drop it to Celeste house the same day of the party. I convince Glenn that it was for an activity at church. My friend Lori brought the drinks and my friend Kelly's husband made 2 delicious cheesecakes.
A few weeks before his party his sister Sherri sent us an e-mail informing us that she was going to come to town for a conference and that she wanted to spend Saturday with us (which was perfect since I didn't know if I should throw the party on Friday or Saturday...so Saturday it was more than perfect) I deleted her email and like a crazy wife I started to look for her cellphone number. I texted her and told her about my idea. She was sharing my excitement and support my crazy idea of not saying anything to Glenn about her coming. She talked to Glenn's other sister Lisa and convince her to come down and see her AND be part of the surprise. I could not be more excited for my 2 special guests for his birthday.
I took Glenn for a "nice dinner" down Town San Antonio. He had no clue his sisters were waiting for us. When I told him "Let's walk" He wasn't very convinced but accepted. Texting behind his back was super hard. From far away he saw Lisa and Sherri and thought..."hu, they look like my sisters" then she saw them approaching and still the idea of his sisters there didn't click until later lol He was so surprise and happy to see them.
I told them we should go back home. On our way home we made him open the door first. Little he knew all our good friends from S.A were hidden and jumped to scream " SURPRISE !!HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!" He couldn't believe it. He was so happy and the celebration went perfect. The kids had tons of fun and we had some Karaoke time with all our friends.
Birthdays are important because is the celebration of the people we love. I surely love my man and I loved surprising him.

Hapennings!
Let's see. My resolutions...well indispite of Glenn might think I'm going to write some resolutions, yeah I know it's March already but HEY NEVER IS TOO LATE RIGHT?
Finish the bible (at least as much as I can handle. That is one heavy book)
Be a better mom and wife.
Take naps everyday at least for 1 hour (I so need to do this one IF I want to accomplish number 2)
Go to sleep on time. (Around 10:00 p.m. I think is not too bad right?)
Stop being so lazy and start studying English again (I have gotten to comfortable of how I talk that I just stop caring about grammar, accent and vocabulary)
Try to put my foot in my mouth more often I guess wouldn't hurt. BE PRUDENT!!
Be more patients with my kids.
Keep supporting my awesome husband with out winning :S
Make moment memorable BY BEING PATIENT (good luck with that one:S)
Make activities for my family and friends once or twice per month.
So far that is all that I can come up with. So far I have been doing so so with each one of them. I have had some activities/game night/girls and couple night out with family and friends. The kids always have fun with their friends too so that is a perfect excuse to get all together and make some fun games.
This month we got ready to celebrate Ian's b-day. Unfortunately my son is starting to see the responsibility of his acts. We had to cancel his party for his poor choices. However we didn't want to let the day go by like it wasn't important because IT IS!!
5 years ago Ian came to our lives and he made us parents for the second time. He has a great spirit. He is the most colorful of my kids. He says it how he thinks it AND I LOVE IT!! He is unique for his ethusiasm. I love that he always try to see the positive of the circumstances. He is a great son, brother and student. He always makes me proud for his efforts OF NOT GIVING UP BECAUSE GIVING UP IS FOR LOOSER!! He has bring so much fun and happiness to our lives that thinking a life with out Ian makes me sad. I'm so bless that he is MY BOY!! He often gets in trouble but he recognize when he is wrong. He is my little Romeo but again HE IS MINE!! I am so grateful to Heavenly Father for the challenge and pleasure of having him in my life. Most of the time I wonder if I am failing him as a mom and I pray that the lord will help me to hold his hand (as well as the hands to my other 3) and together with Glenn will be able to guide them in the right path so someday we can all be together forever. That sounds so hard to do that I get discourage and then I try to remember what Ian says GIVING UP IS FOR LOOSER!! and that is when I keep trying. Ian love. As soon as your Dad and I knew I was pregnant I knew you were a boy. As soon as they did an ultrasound bugging your moment inside my tummy and you push back I knew you were a warrior who didn't like to be bother. We welcome you into our lives with so much love and happinest and you keep teaching us with so much love everyday how to be better people, better parents. Thank you Ian boy for being the way you are. I wouldn't change anything from you!! ANYTHING!! I know you are what we called UN DIAMANTE EN BRUTO. We are working hard on you and you make us happy and proud everyday. There are not night that your Dad and I don't talk about how bless we are to have you in our lives. Even though we didn't throw you a party we didn't want you to think the day you were born wasn't important for us. It was one of the most importants!! The cake, cupcakes, presents and the homemade presents we gave you and seeing your expression of gratitude for making your day so special made it worth it. I know you wanted another kind of party but understood you did something wrong. I know you were grateful and positive about the little celebration we threw on you honor and you were happy. The look in your eyes when you saw your cake and presents were priceless. I know you are learinig. Sometimes I wish I could stop the time to enjoy more all of you. You as your siblings are growing up so fast and I know I can't stop it but I'm glad I can be part of your grow.
Ian son HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY YOU ARE AN AWESOME KID AND YES AGAIN YOU ARE MINE!!!
