Abuelita is here!

We just came from the spa and when I say we I'm referring to my handsome husband and me. The great thing? No sitter to pay beause MY MOM IS HERE! That's right, she came to visit us about a week ago. We are having fun with her around. She is sleeping in Hanna's bedroom. Hanna is sleeping with us.
Every morning, Hanna has decided to wake up around 7 or 8:00 a.m. She will call me, but my mom immediately will jump in to take her out of my room so I can sleep longer.
I have been waking up SO late every day. Yesterday the kids had candy for breakfeast, thanks to ABUELTIA (grandma in Spanish). Today they decided to color their faces with markers (good thing the markers that I have are washables).

Today Nicky was invited to her friend's b-day party. I was there until almost 6:00 p.m. and didn't have to worry about dinner BECAUSE MY MOTHER IS HERE. :)
She made one of my favorite dishes from Mexico. This afternoon after droping off Nicky while I was coming through the garage I could smell her unique and wonderful TORTILLAS DE HARINA (flour tortillas), one of her specialties. So far they are always a hit. Glenn came back earlier today (around 1:00 p.m.). He told me the same thing. "THE SMELL WAS JUST INVITIMING ME TO COME TO THE KITCHEN AND EAT, EAT, EAT!" As a matter of fact he is eating some of them right now while watching t.v. She is just amazing.
I have never enjoyed my mom's visit more than this time. She normally came while I was preggo or delivering a baby and way too sick. Now I can finally take her wherever she wants and I think she is also having fun.
Nicky is the cuttest 5 year old. She tries to speak English. Unfortunately she has such a thick accent that sometimes it's hard to understand, especially if she is trying to learn some new words.
Ian pretends that he is fine without my mom around, however everytime that we go somewhere with out her he is always asking for her to come and telling me how much he misses her. He just likes to play being the tough guy.
I can see how much Hanna loves my mom and how not to love her. Every time that she turns to see her, my mom already has a cookie for her, or milk, or something to entertain her.
She will be here for another week and then we might see her more after now that we will be moving closer to Monterrey.
We are hunting for a place to live for the next 3 years. As much as I would love to rent an apartament again, I think it's about time to rent a house. Anyway we'll see what we get. I can't believe our time here is expiring. :)

Sleeping in is the BEST!!! Second best is free babysitting!
